I know that there are many factors involved that will not allow this to be to an exact science. But... roughly, what is the difference in times from the indoor 200 and 400 and the same events outdoors?

Also, I have seen some consistency in adding roughly 3.5 - 4.0 seconds onto the indoor 60 meters time to get an idea of the 100 time. Once again, stride length and runner-type is a large determining factor, but what has been your experience?

In my experience, the indoor invites are more of a showcase and they do not hold a lot of weight with coaches and athletes. Outstanding athletes from the previous year are the ones invited to the indoors. Coaches are not allowed to be involved in the indoor track meets because the season has not officially started. There are very few indoors because it is difficult to find sponsors. If there are any, they are just another stepping stone to the runner's progress against competition.
