I am a retired teacher and retired instructor from National University. I have been Teaching and Coaching since 1972. I have been a head coach for both males and females for Cross Country and Track & Field teams in Orange County in the Santa Ana Unified School District, and coached college, university, and clubs for over 50 plus years, and presently I am an assistant track coach, advising the 800 meter event, coaching the hurdles and sprint relays at Granite High School in the San Bernardino County, in the State of California.

At Fullerton State University I was on an athletic scholarship with the best athletes in the nation in Cross Country who won the NCAA Runner-up and won the NCAA National Championships and I competed in Track in the 800m, mile, 3-mile and mile relay (4x440y) and I qualified in the NCAA Nationals in the 800m. I started competing when I was a youth and continued competing after college for the Southern California Striders.

I have had good experiences, with all my coaches, who have trained me physically and mentally, and now since I am in coaching, I am returning the same experiences. The athletes that I have an opportunity to coach, won many league titles, several County championships, regional championships, and have had athletes compete in the California State Championship Meets and National Championship meets in Cross Country and Track & Field.

I have a passion for coaching. My ultimate goal is to assist coaches and athletes in any way to accomplish their goals, it’s not about being the best, it’s learning about the desire giving it your best. Athletes and coaches we have to work together and both live “The Championship Lifestyle” by understanding there are no limits as long as we both put in the effort.
