She was just fifteen when she got the horrify news that she was pregnant. Living in a small town made it all the more difficult because soon everybody knew.

Her parents and relatives shunned her and she was viciously called names but she made the brave decision to not abort the baby. When it came time for delivery, neither her parents nor relatives were there for the birth of her son.

She found love though. A young man said he loved her and wanted to marry her and take care of her and her son. So they married!

The son soon had problems with the authorities, though, and they had to flee their home and actually had to go into hiding for several years. But they were eventually able to return to the small town and they resumed trying to have a normal life. They had six other children we know of.

But soon things became difficult between the siblings. For you see, six could point to a Mom and Dad but the oldest son couldn’t. He was known as the bastard son.

Then things got worse! The father died leaving the young widow with all the children, all the bills, all the responsibility. Her hero, the man who had rescued her, was gone!

Then things got worse! The oldest son started a religious cult with new and strange practices and beliefs. The mom pleaded with him to stop this insanity and come home but he was resolved and could not be convinced.

Then things got worse! He was hunted, captured by authorities and killed.

I don’t know what this Mom might have said at her son’s funeral maybe just something like “my son, just rest in peace.”

This women’s life was not easy. As a young girl I am sure it was not her dream to be fifteen, pregnant and not married, to have children who could not get along, to have her beloved husband die at a young age (leaving her alone) and to have her eldest killed.
You may feel the same way about your life!

But then the Bible says, “On the third day, Jesus, the bastard son rose from the dead.”

He appeared to His Mom and said “Mom, everything thing is going to be okay! I am going to prepare a place for you and at the perfect time I will bring you to myself!” Then He appeared to His brothers and sisters (who had never believed in Him) and said, “Things are going to be okay! I am going to prepare a place for you and at the perfect time I will bring you to myself!” Then He tells us. “Things are going to be okay! I am also going to prepare a place for you and at the perfect time I will bring you to myself, if you believe!”
Jesus could have made His mom’s life easier! He could have made His sibling’s life easier! He could be making our lives easier! He knows what is best!

Hang in there! He has gone to prepare a place for us and at the perfect time He will bring us to Himself! For those who believe.
