What is the correct way to run? My coach tells me to get my knees up and to kick my butt, but I cannot do this in the same motion. I run the 100 meters. Also, what is the correct way to come out of the starting blocks?

A "butt kick" on the leg extension will result in the knee passing under the body more quickly, often resulting in a higher knee drive on the foreward extension. Your coach doesn't expect you to do both "in the same motion."

There are some great videos of sprint starts and some good stop-action pictures. Your coach probably has access to them. If not, try Track & Field News for sources of them. Springco (see the ads on this site) has a good selection for sale too.
